Full Day Tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas
At 8:45 in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel and begin the tour. We will visit the following places:
A traditional market where you will be able to see artisan work and buy souvenirs, you can even get your picture taken with llamas.
Pisaq market and ruins.
We will go to a viewpoint in the valley, where you will be able to take pictures and enjoy excellent views of the valley. We will then go to the town of Pisaq, where we will go to the local market and learn more about the life of the local residents. We will go to an traditional oven, where you can have pizza or bread. We will go on to see the local ruins and terraces, as well as Inca cemeteries and royal buildings. We will then go to Urubamba and enjoy a buffet lunch in a local restraunt.
Later in the afternoon, we will head to Ollantaytambo which was built to guard the entrance to this part of the valley and to protect the Incas themselves from possible invasions. We will walk the streets and see the archaeological complex of this little town to get a clear idea of what this military, religious, and cultural center was really like during the period of the Inca Empire.
On the way back to Cusco, we will visit the picturesque village of Chinchero where we’ll see the remains of the royal estate of Tupac Inca Yupanqui and a colonial temple. The colonial temple was built on top of the Inca estate. You will also see the well-preserved Inca Walls at the main plaza. After the guided tour, we will return to Cusco. The tour lasts about nine hours ends at Regocijo Square (a half away block from the main square) at around 6:30 pm. We will transfer you to your hotel.

Sacred Valley was an absolute fun road trip with my friend. The ollantaytambo ruins in Valle Sagrado were definitely something to see, admire and wonder about the Inca engineering. Lots of Inca history and things to learn throughout Sacred Valley.
